This policy applies to purchases from rkmbasses.shop. The seller is RKM BASSES LLC, 7300 W McNab Rd, Suite 220, Tamarac, Florida 33321, USA. Instruments are handcrafted in our workshop in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Questions: info@rkmbasses.com.

1. DS Series custom builds (Bass Builder deposits)

  • Deposit. The deposit is a fixed $2,000 USD. If you use a valid discount code, the discount is deducted from the deposit at checkout; the balance due on completion does not change.
  • 5-business-day cancellation. You may cancel within 5 business days of paying the deposit by writing to info@rkmbasses.com, and we refund 100% of the deposit you paid.
  • After that, the deposit is non-refundable, because production is scheduled and materials are allocated to your order, except where a mandatory legal right applies.
  • Build time: about 4 months from the deposit date (production starts 7 calendar days after your order). This is a good-faith estimate, not a guaranteed date; if we foresee a delay we will email you with a new estimated date.
  • Balance not paid: if the balance remains unpaid 30 days after a second written reminder, we may cancel the order, keep the deposit as compensation for materials and work, and sell the instrument.
  • No change-of-mind returns: because each DS is built to your specification, finished custom instruments cannot be returned for a change of mind. This does not affect your warranty or any mandatory legal rights.
  • Custom Shop orders. Cancel within 5 business days of paying the deposit for a full refund. After those 5 business days the deposit is non-refundable, because the materials for your specification are purchased, except where a mandatory legal right applies. The rest of the Custom Shop terms are in section 5A of our Terms of service and your written quote. Custom Shop instruments cannot be returned for a change of mind; this does not affect your warranty or any mandatory legal rights.

2. In-stock instruments

  • You may request a return within 5 business days after delivery by writing to info@rkmbasses.com.
  • The instrument must be returned in the same condition it was delivered, with its case or gig bag, accessories and original packaging. Return shipping and insurance are paid by the buyer unless the instrument arrived defective or not as described.
  • We refund the purchase price to the original payment method within 10 business days after receiving and inspecting the instrument. The original shipping cost is not refundable unless the instrument arrived defective or not as described.

3. Damage in transit

All shipments are insured. If a package arrives damaged, report it within 48 hours of delivery with photos, and keep all packaging. We will manage the insurance claim and work with you to repair or replace the instrument.

4. Limited Warranty

This Limited Warranty applies to every instrument. Covered against defects in materials and workmanship for no less than 90 days from delivery, or longer where the law requires; normal wear, accidents, modifications and humidity or temperature damage are excluded. To make a claim, write to info@rkmbasses.com within the warranty period with your order number, a description and photos or video. RKM pays for the warranty repair; shipping to our workshop and back to you is at your expense, except where a mandatory legal right provides otherwise. This Limited Warranty does not limit any rights that the consumer law of your country grants you and that cannot be waived.

5. Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights that the consumer law of your country grants you and that cannot be waived. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

1. Construcciones personalizadas DS Series (anticipos del Bass Builder)

  • Anticipo. El anticipo es fijo de $2,000 USD. Si usas un código de descuento válido, el descuento se resta del anticipo al pagar; el saldo al terminar no cambia.
  • Cancelación en 5 días hábiles. Puedes cancelar dentro de los 5 días hábiles siguientes a pagar el anticipo escribiendo a info@rkmbasses.com, y te devolvemos el 100% del anticipo que pagaste.
  • Después, el anticipo no es reembolsable, porque la producción está programada y los materiales están asignados a tu pedido, salvo cuando aplique un derecho legal irrenunciable.
  • Tiempo de fabricación: alrededor de 4 meses desde la fecha del anticipo (la fabricación inicia 7 días naturales después de tu pedido). Es un estimado de buena fe, no una fecha garantizada; si prevemos un retraso te escribiremos con una nueva fecha estimada.
  • Saldo sin pagar: si el saldo sigue sin pagarse 30 días después de un segundo recordatorio por escrito, podremos cancelar el pedido, conservar el anticipo como compensación por materiales y trabajo, y vender el instrumento.
  • Sin devoluciones por cambio de opinión: como cada DS se construye con tu especificación, los instrumentos personalizados terminados no se aceptan de vuelta por cambio de opinión. Esto no afecta tu garantía ni tus derechos legales irrenunciables.
  • Pedidos Custom Shop. Cancela dentro de los 5 días hábiles siguientes a pagar el anticipo con reembolso total. Pasados esos 5 días hábiles el anticipo no es reembolsable, porque se compran los materiales de tu especificación, salvo cuando aplique un derecho legal irrenunciable. El resto de los términos Custom Shop están en la sección 5A de nuestros Términos de servicio y en tu cotización por escrito. Los instrumentos Custom Shop no se aceptan de vuelta por cambio de opinión; esto no afecta tu garantía ni tus derechos legales irrenunciables.

2. Instrumentos en existencia

  • Puedes solicitar una devolución dentro de los 5 días hábiles siguientes a la entrega escribiendo a info@rkmbasses.com.
  • El instrumento debe regresar en las mismas condiciones en que se entregó, con su estuche o funda, accesorios y empaque original. El envío de regreso y su seguro los paga el comprador, salvo que el instrumento haya llegado defectuoso o distinto a lo descrito.
  • Reembolsamos el precio al mismo medio de pago dentro de los 10 días hábiles siguientes a recibir e inspeccionar el instrumento. El envío original no es reembolsable, salvo que el instrumento haya llegado defectuoso o distinto a lo descrito.

3. Daños en tránsito

Todos los envíos van asegurados. Si un paquete llega dañado, repórtalo dentro de las 48 horas siguientes a la entrega con fotos y conserva todo el empaque. Nosotros gestionamos el reclamo al seguro y trabajamos contigo para reparar o reponer el instrumento.

4. Garantía

Esta garantía aplica a cada instrumento. Cubierto contra defectos de materiales y mano de obra por no menos de 90 días desde la entrega, o más cuando la ley lo exija; se excluyen desgaste normal, accidentes, modificaciones y daños por humedad o temperatura. Para hacer un reclamo escribe a info@rkmbasses.com dentro del plazo de garantía con tu número de pedido, una descripción y fotos o video. RKM paga la reparación en garantía; el envío a nuestro taller y el de regreso a ti corren por tu cuenta, salvo cuando un derecho legal irrenunciable disponga otra cosa. Esta garantía no limita los derechos irrenunciables que te otorgue la ley de protección al consumidor de tu país.
